All services listed here are in Brighton & Hove and are for young people under 25. They are confidential, even if you are under 16.
You can always see your own GP (doctor) for treatment and advice on almost anything, including sexual health. GPs will not discuss anything you tell them with anyone else, it is confidential. If you are under 16, you can be seen alone and get prescriptions if you need them. You can get free emergency contraception from your GP, even if you are over 25 years old. SWAG at YAC has closed
The young people’s contraception service at Blatchington Road closing on 31 March 2015. Please visit the Morley Street clinic, or a young people’s drop-in service at Mile Oak Medical Centre 4-5pm on Thursdays or Portslade Health Centre 4-6.30pm on Wednesdays for contraception and emergency contraception.
Morley Street CASH Advice Line
Morley Street has a new nurse run advice line available Monday to Friday 12 noon - 2pm. This service aims to answer any questions or queries you may have about contraception or sexual health which don’t require an appointment, such as advice on missed contraceptive pills, when emergency contraception is needed, contraception side effects, etc. This line is not able to provide test result and does not have an answer phone for messages.
